Josiah Downey

… is the Youth & Adult Program Manager at the Woodland Park Zoo where he manages the
Advanced Inquiry Program. He has been engaged in environmental education and connecting youth to nature for the past 12 years across the country and in a variety of contexts. He is excited to join the AIP team help participants get curious about the environment and their communities. He supports this work through helping organizations through a holistic approach in the development of tools, resources and strategies for assisting staff and educational programs become the best they can be. Josiah holds an M.S. in Environmental Science with a focus in environmental education from Antioch University, New England. He lives in White Center where he volunteers at his local P-Patch and can be found roaming the Puget Sound region hiking, fly fishing and trail running.
