Global Field Program alum and Earth Expeditions instructor, Matt Hallett, was interviewed by University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences about his dissertation research on understanding how human activities impact jaguars and their prey and their use of natural spaces. During the interview, Hallett also shared thoughts on when he knew he wanted to work in the field of ecology: “It wasn’t until I took some ecology classes for my biology minor that I realized that I could make a living by understanding and asking questions about the natural world, and be in the field.”
